Description:

All levels are welcome to join us for this relaxed, yet informative workshop on Friday afternoons in February with Instructor, Juan Moreno. Participants will have the opportunity to work from a live portrait model and learn at their own pace. 

Materials:

Participants should bring:

• charcoal pencils: soft, medium, and hard
• clipboard
• eraser
• charcoal paper 
• You may also bring your own preferred drawing materials as well

Instructor Bio:

Juan J. Moreno is an artist based in Kent, Connecticut. He studied at the atelier of David Manzur in Bogota before moving to Connecticut, where he has lived since 1986. He studied figure drawing and portrait painting at the Art Students League of New York and studio art at Western Connecticut State University. His work has been in many exhibitions and is in private collections. Juan has taught studio art and art history at the college level in Connecticut.
