Description:

Join artist and educator Terry Feder in a "deep dive" looking at shape, texture, scale, the role of light in creating the illusion of space on a two dimensional surface. This class is appropriate for all skill levels. 

 

Open Studio Time:

Upon approval from the instructor, workshop participants will be granted access to the lab throughout the duration of the workshop. Aside from scheduled workshop hours, the lab is available for independent use Tuesday – Sunday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.

 

Materials:

  • 1 Pad White Drawing Paper (18x24")
  • Pencils: 4B, 2B, 2H
  • Erasers: Kneaded, White Rubber
  • Charcoal: Vine Charcoal; Charcoal Pencils (soft & hard) White Charcoal Pencil
  • Bring one of your favorite objects to draw

 

Instructor Bio:

Terry Donsen Feder makes paintings and drawings about different levels and kinds of representation. Her work has been included in group and solo shows all over the country and in Ireland. Her work is part of many private, corporate and hospital collections including the Ruth and Marvin Sackner Archives of Visual Poetry, and the Sol and Carol LeWitt collection and the New Britain Museum of American Art. She has taught art at Central CT State University, Post University and the Hartford Art School.

All workshops are held at the Five Points Arts Center, 855 University Drive

Workshops may be cancelled due to low enrollment if a minimum number of participants are not met. Registrants will be notified in advance and a refund or credit will be arranged (see workshop polices below for details).
