Description:
Explore the creative potential of drawing with color! Using colored pencil and pastels, participants will practice drawing shape, value, proportion and space in the creation of a still life. This highly experienced artist and educator will demonstrate essential techniques including layering, shading and blending. No prior experience necessary.

Instructor Bio:
For many years, Terry Donsen Feder has taught English and Art at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, and at Central Connecticut State University. In 2008 -2010 she became an artist mentor for the graduate program at the Art Institute of Boston. Her work has been included in group and solo shows all over this country and in Ireland. She has done mural work, which includes two Sol LeWitt wall drawings, and she has designed and executed murals in Connecticut, Nevada, Nantucket and a six foot by forty-seven foot mural at Peppercorn’s Grill in Hartford. Her work is included in many private and corporate collections, including the Chase Family Collection, the Collection of Dr. Timothy Mclaughlin, the Ruth and Marvin Sackner Archives of Visual Poetry, the collection of the Bushnell, the New Britain Museum of American Art and The Sol and Carol LeWitt collection.
