Description:
This workshop is an introduction to the possibilities that polyester plate lithography offers. Participants will learn how to print a one-color polyester plate lithograph using both a lithography and etching press. The process involves using simple drawing materials to make prints that can then be further enhanced using watercolor or other media. No prior knowledge of lithography is required. This workshop is intended to introduce a new technique to the artistically curious.
Open Studio Time:
Upon approval from the instructor, workshop participants will be granted access to the lab throughout the duration of the workshop. Aside from scheduled workshop hours, the lab is available for independent use Tuesday – Sunday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Materials:
Participants are encouraged to bring a sketchbook of simple line drawings, but this is not a requirement.
