Description:
This immersive, three-hour hands-on workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of paper engineering. Explore basic techniques including folds, layers, and pull-tabs, and learn how to transform a flat sheet of paper into a dynamic, three-dimensional structure that pops. No experience necessary!

Instructor Bio:
Marianne Petit is an artist and educator whose work explores fairy tales, graphic and narrative medicine, as well as collective storytelling practices through mechanical books that combine animation and paper craft. Her interests are in combining technology, traditional book arts, and sequential storytelling to create new forms of narrative. Ms. Petit holds several degrees including a BA in Studio Art and Art Education and a MA in Printmaking both from New York University. She has exhibited and taught widely and is the recipient of many grants, fellowships, and awards.
