Description:
Join us in the exciting world of pastel painting! This workshop is perfect for beginners and those with some experience. You will learn the basics, including how to create the soft blends and bright colors that pastels are famous for. We will cover essential skills like layering, mixing colors, and making marks. You’ll also learn about different types of pastels and papers to help you build your own collection. Come ready to explore, and you’ll leave with your own completed artwork.

Instructor Bio:
Mary Beth Sasso holds a B.A. in Graphic Design. After a 30-year career as a graphic designer and art director for clients including Fortune 500 companies, she returned to fine art, in 2008. While she specialize in pastels, she also work in watercolor, oils, graphite, and charcoal. Her dedication extends to teaching as an associate faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College and a Certified Teaching Artist through the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
