Description:
Learn to use the softest of materials, wool roving, and with a special barbed needle, create a landscape image on a background of raw silk. Award-winning fiber artist, Diane Cadrain, will demonstrate how the natural world can inspire your work by offering constantly refreshed images of arresting loveliness.

Participants are encouraged to bring an 8x10" photograph of a landscape to replicate or inspire
Instructor Bio:
Diane Cadrain turned full-time to art in 2015 after retiring from her job as a lawyer and free-lance writer specializing in employment law topics. As a fiber artist, she came of age during the time when sewing was taught in the public schools and was a part of mainstream culture. Today, her fiber artwork includes machine piecing and quilting, felting, hand embroidery, and knitting.
