In today’s art world, your website is your portfolio, business card, and storefront all in one. This one-day workshop will show you how to build a site that makes your work stand out and helps you market yourself effectively. Through hands-on tutorials with two of the most popular website builders, Squarespace (paid) and Wix (free), you’ll be able to choose the platform that best fits your goals and budget. We’ll cover what content to include, how to keep your site fresh, and common mistakes to avoid. You’ll also get insider tips on marketing yourself online, plus an overview of subscription options, e-commerce, and sales tools to help your career grow. By the end, you’ll know how to design, manage, and promote a professional online presence that works for you.

Instructor Bio:
Sydney is owner/operator of Sydney Morris Multimedia specializing in website development, design, and optimization, graphic design, marketing services, photography, and videography. She is also Director of Marketing for the Hartford Business Improvement District where she manages extensive content calendars for all social media platforms including strategizing, creating, and implementing advertising tactics and campaigns. Sydney holds a BFA from the Hartford Art School and serves on the Hartford Art School Endowment Board.
