Description:

This workshop will offer a comprehensive introduction to portraiture, still life and landscape photography. With access to professional lighting equipment, learn to manipulate lighting, shadows and compositional elements to create captivating imagery. During session one, collaborate with your fellow participants to create unique portraits of each other. Session two will focus on building still life compositions using an array of props, and during session three, you will walk the John Brown Trail in search of scenic landscapes. Designed to accommodate analog, digital and smartphone cameras, photographers of all levels of experience are welcome.

Please note: Developing film for analog cameras will not be part of this workshop.

Materials:

• Fully charged smartphone, DSLR/mirrorless or film photography camera

• Notepad and pencil

• Props for still life compositions

• Tripod (optional)

Instructor Bio:

I have a broad base of photographic related experience, and have worked within various verticals such as, Travel and Leisure, Manufacturing, Banking, Financial Services, Marine, Fine Art, Stock, Sailing, Editorial and a myriad of others. I also am a very active photographic Instructor/Lecturer and Consultant. I teach Smartphone/iCamera photography as well as DSLR, Film, Large format, Composition, Seeing and Preparing to Observe, Face to Face, via ZOOM, to groups or individuals and for a variety of schools. I am very pleased to announce that I have been recognized by Apple as an Apple Teacher - #AppleTeacher.

All workshops are held at the Five Points Arts Center, 855 University Drive

Workshops may be cancelled due to low enrollment if a minimum number of participants are not met. Registrants will be notified in advance and a refund or credit will be arranged (see workshop polices below for details).
