Essential Function
With guidance and support from the Executive Director, the part- time Development Associate helps strengthen the financial sustainability of Five Points Arts using strategies that secure and increase giving from donors. The Development Associate position is an essential participant in the implementation of Five Points Arts fundraising and coordinates the administrative aspects of those efforts.
Responsibilities
Participate in the implementation of fundraising activities and events including the annual appeal, planned giving, events and endowment building.
In partnership with the Executive Team, develop and implement donor communications that articulate the Five Points Arts mission including the case for support, annual report, and stories of impact.
Aid in the preparation of proposals and supporting materials for presentation to potential donors tailoring each to the particular interests and objectives of the potential donor.
Process gift entry and prepare timely donor acknowledgements.
Manage the donor database and fundraising records.
Conduct donor research – individuals, foundations and corporations
Perform any other required duties as requested by the Executive Director.
Keep confidential the business functions of Five Points Arts including, but not limited to, customer information, employee issues, etc.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
Enthusiasm and commitment to Five Points Arts’ mission and future.
Friendly welcoming manner and ability to work well with other team members.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Excellent communication skills on digital platforms, phone, in writing and in person.
Ability to use - learn philanthropy focused data bases.
Proven ability to work well with others, exercise good judgment and discretion when working with confidential donor information.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet established deadlines.
Project management experience.
Schedule expectation
This position may be required to start early or end late and /or and may include weekend activities.
Compensation
Part-time salaried position …Range: $20,000 to $25,000
